Metal debris cleanup continues, but some lanes re-open on Southwest Freeway

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The metal debris cleanup on the Southwest Freeway continues, but some lanes are re-opening at Bellaire Boulevard going northbound.

Two lanes are open, but the far left lane remains blocked.

The closure is causing major delays as crews address the dangerous matter that is on the freeway.
