While Schlitterbahn Galveston Island will not debut the new MASSIV water coaster until this summer, the park is giving you a front row seat right now with the use of technology.

A new computer-generated ride video entices riders to take a turn in their new tubes, and it's bathing suit optional.

"We can't wait to ride MASSIV," says Ron Sutula, general manager at Schlitterbahn Galveston. "This ride video is the closest we can get until we open the ride in early June."

Sky Eye was over the scene of the highly-anticipated project last week. We saw progress as the workers toiled below getting MASSIV ready for its grand opening.

When complete, the ride will have four uphill sections, an enclosed tunnel section, a translucent turn and then a triple-drop finale.

At 926-feet-long, it'll be the longest slide at Schlitterbahn Galveston. The official height is expected to be revealed next month.

There will be a lot of places also competing for your attention this summer.

Typhoon Texas, a brand-new water park, is about to open next month in the Katy area.
