Is that doughnut really worth it? Proposed symbols could change your mind
A health group in the United Kingdom wants to change nutrition labels.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Would you put down that doughnut if you knew just how long you'd have to exercise to work off those calories? A health group in the United Kingdom thinks you might, so they want to change nutrition labels.

The Royal Society of Public Health wants to replace numbers with symbols, like the number of minutes you'd need to walk or run to make those two cookies go away.

They think activity-related specifics could make people understand that an extra slice of pizza won't get worked off without a lot of exercise.
