Teen allegedly steals police cruiser for joyride

A teenager left behind a lot of damage after he allegedly stole a police cruiser to go on a joy ride.

The teen's mother called police Sunday saying she believed her son had been involved in a robbery.

When officers arrived, the teen jumped into the driver's seat of the police cruiser and took off.

The 16-year-old smashed the cruiser into several other vehicles at a spot light before crashing into a Church's Chicken restaurant.

"You are not even safe on a Sunday afternoon going through a stop light without being hit in the back," says victim Lucretia Ventura.

Some people were injured when the teen hit their cars.

The teen was arrested and taken in for questioning.
