Troopers chase big rig driver from Montgomery County to Madison County

MADISONVILLE, TX (KTRK) -- The driver of an 18-wheeler led state troopers on a chase along I-45 northbound this afternoon. That chase came to an end in Madison County.

The semi was traveling between 30 and 40mph near the end of the pursuit, which went through Montgomery County and Walker County, then ended at mile marker 142 in Madison County.

We're told police tried to pull the rig rig driver over on I-45 in The Woodlands, but the driver kept going. At this point, we don't have details on how the chase ended.

The driver was the only one inside the big rig.
