Houston experienced heavy rain and large hail late Friday afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms dumped hail and heavy rain across much of the Metro. Flash flooding was reported near the Medical Center after nearly 3 inches of rain fell in a short period of time.

Our viewers have shared photos of their weather conditions in the photo gallery above.

We could be in for more rain later tonight when a cold front pushes south into our area.

Heavy rain and storms remain in the forecast until tonight's cold front clears the coast early Saturday morning. We could see some hail and wind as the storms give some areas an inch or two of rain.

Sunshine and cooler temps return over the weekend! Highs will stay in the 60s while low temps fall into the chilly 40s for a couple of nights!
