Thieves steal more than $10,000 worth of cigarettes in Richmond

RICHMOND, TX (KTRK) -- If you know who stole more than $10,000 worth of cigarettes from a Ft. Bend County Shell station, you could be eligible for a reward.

Video was released Thursday of the February 28 heist at the gas station in the 600 block of Plantation Drive in Pecan Grove. Police say two men broke into the building, one with a plastic container.

They went straight for the cigarette rack, stealing more than $10,200 worth of cigarettes.

One of the subjects was about 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. He was wearing a pullover with a red hood and sleeves and the rest of the jersey being white. He also had camouflage pants. It appears that the subject is a black male and has a beard.

The second suspect was about the same height and weight. He wore a black jersey and black sweat pants with a beanie-style cap which was black with blue trim. He wore white sneakers.

This store has been burglarized three times in the last two years, say investigators.
