HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a judge at a voting location in north Houston.

The incident happened at the polling station inside Stephens Elementary School.

According to Aldine ISD, a man in his 30's went to vote with his father but didn't have valid identification. Poll workers told him to go grab an ID and come back. The man became disruptive and pushed a poll worker in the chest. He then slapped a judge on the arm.

Police responded to the scene and issued the man a citation.

The poll worker did not want to press charges, but one election official does.
