'Unicorn' captured on freeway
Police made an amazing find on the freeway this week: a 'unicorn' -- actually a pony dressed up as one

MADERA COUNTY, CA (KTRK) -- Troopers in California spent three hours chasing a 'unicorn' this week.

Several drivers called Highway Patrol, saying they spotted a unicorn weaving in-and-out of traffic in Madera Ranchos, California.

When troopers arrived, they found the pony dressed up as the mystical creature and captured it after hours of chasing her, KGPE reports.

Sandra Boos, the pony's owner, said, "She was running amok in a couple of orchards with some white blooms so she kind of blended in with the scenery as well and she's not real tall so she turned out to be stealthier than we imagined."

The pony's name is Juliette and she's often seen posing as a unicorn at birthday parties and in photo shoots.

Local station KGPE says it's a fairytale ending for Juliette and her family. However, as the owner's daughter says, the pony Juliette has some explaining to do. Tatum Boos said, "She got a time-out because she was being a bad pony."
