HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 65-year-old man was killed when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler that had run out of gas on the East Loop last night.
All southbound lanes of the East Loop at Clinton were shut down for hours.
Houston police say the man, who has not been identified, drove his silver buick Lacrosse southbound on the East Loop when he rear-ended a big rig that had run out of gas in a lane of traffic.
The driver of the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
Police say they are still investigating.
