A fast-moving fire engulfed an entire apartment building.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A two-alarm fire destroyed an entire building in northwest Houston.

The fire broke out around 11pm at the Streamside Place Apartments on West Gulf Bank Road at Streamside Drive.

Flames and smoke forced people into the cold overnight, but fortunately, no one was hurt.

Danesha Harding told Eyewitness News she was asleep when firefighters woke her up.

Harding says she grabbed everything she could before she evacuated the building with her family.

The fire spread quickly thereafter, she says.

"As soon as I went outside, the flames went 'woosh!'" Harding says. "The flames just went up, and we ran across the street."

Harding says she's just grateful her family is okay.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
