Fatal accident on East Fwy kills 2, leaves 1 in critical condition

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two people are dead and a third person is in critical condition after they flew out of an out of control truck on the East Freeway.

Police say the driver was westbound on the East Freeway at Lear Street when he lost control of that vehicle.

The truck rolled onto the feeder, where everyone was ejected on the street.

One person died at the scene. A second died on the way to the hospital.

A third person is now fighting for their life at a hospital.

Police are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
