Rodeo Houston Concert Tickets
How can you score the best concert tickets? Kevin Quinn explains.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Now that the Rodeo Houston lineup has been announced, it is time to prepare if you are going to be buying tickets.

If history is any indication, the hottest rodeo tickets will likely again be Luke Bryan and and Pitbull. When tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday they are expected to be the first snapped up.

"We are truly excited with this year's line up, " said Houston Livestock show and Rodeo President and CEO Joel Cowley. He suggests the best way to get the show you want is to be in the virtual waiting room between 9:30 and 9:59 am Saturday. Sales will begin at 10am. "If you enter the room after 10 am, you're behind everyone who was in the virtual waiting room," said Cowley.

Once there, officials say customers will be selected at random for purchase. Cowley says you should choose the artist you want to see first because each transaction is set up only for a single show.

The rodeo says all but single seats are already sold out on the lowest level. Still you can find good tickets if you plan ahead.

Last year the rodeo sold nearly 1.4 million tickets over the 20 shows, averaging a crowd of 68 thousand a night. Ticket brokers are already seeing demand for this go around. They say the best way to prepare, is to do your computer work ahead of time.

"Have your account already ready. Your credit card centered. And be fast.. Fast fingertips, pretty much," said broker Kayla Ramsey at Houston Ticket Store and Midtown Premium Tickets. To sign up for that account ahead of time, CLICK HERE.

If you're looking for a deal, Rodeo Houston is are offering "Value Wednesdays" where upper level tickets are just $10 each.

You can log onto Rodeo Houston's website for ticket purchasing options. You can also buy by phone at (855) 239-7207. You can also purchase in person at the NRG box office beginning Monday.
