Texans fans ready for playoff action against Chiefs
Tailgaters are ready for another "W" from the Texans on Saturday.

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- There may not be a Texans fan more pumped for Saturday's game against the Chiefs than Oved Carranza.

Carranza is part of the Rebel Cookers out in Humble, where abc13's Steve Campion found a spirited crew of tailgaters ready for some Texans action.

But what makes someone a real Texans fan?

"It's about dedication, faithfulness and sticking with your team," Carranza says. "Representing your team no matter what, through the good or the bad. Staying true."

Carranza, who lived in Dallas for 20 years, says he has driven to Houston at 5am from the north only to arrive in time for tailgating at 9am.

The reason, he says, is fellowship with other Texans fans.

"It's the fans, the friends, the camaraderie," he says. "This is the familia. It's only four months, so you have to enjoy it and make the most of it."

The Texans will face off against the Chiefs on abc13 beginning with pregame coverage at 1pm. Kickoff is at 3:35pm.
