Man arrested after allegedly exposing himself in Liberty County

KENEFICK, TX (KTRK) -- A man accused of exposing himself at a gas station in Liberty County is now in custody.

Matthew Gerald McBride, 23, is charged with indecency with a child, exposing, which is a third degree felony. He was arrested Thursday afternoon.

According to a witness, he was exposing himself at a gas station in Kenefict on Monday.

"This was a grown man who purposely pulled up to the gas pump to do that," Ashley Bowden explained. "He didn't get gas in his car. He just got out to expose himself to me and it wasn't just me. It was two little girls."

Bowden's three-year-old son was too young to understand, but her ten-year-old daughter and daughter's nine-year-old friend saw everything.

Investigators say they tracked McBride down from the photos and license plate number that Bowden provided.
