What a catch! Giant marlin caught off Freeport

FREEPORT, TX (KTRK) -- A participant in a fishing tournament in Freeport made one big catch on Friday morning!

The massive marlin weighed in at 687 pounds.

Officials say the fish is so large they had to use a large forklift to move it onto the Freeport Marina, and a major large scale fish was called in for the weighing.

The tournament's awards ceremony is Saturday.
