HOUSTON -- A Houston-area special effects artist is lifting the bra up to a new artform this Halloween.

Kimi Bainter, of Willis, produces and sells her custom "Artbras" and "Headbags" via her Facebook page; and people's reactions are anything from "eww" to "that's cool."

The bras, which can be made from any size, feature eyeballs, fangs, hair, horns, scorpions, bite marks and pretty much anything you can think up.

"I've always loved blood and gore," said Bainter, the mother of four grown children. "My goal is to always make it look real."

Already an artist, painter and Art Car participant, Bainter perfected her special effects work by watching and learning from the Syfy network's "Face Off" TV show. On the show, a group of prosthetic makeup artists compete against each other to create prostheses such as those found in science fiction and horror films.
