FRISCO, TX -- North Texas authorities are investigating a zip line accident in which an 8-year-old girl fell 20 feet to the ground.

Frisco police say the girl fell from the zip line attraction at the city's annual Freedom Fest event Friday.

Police say she was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where she was in stable condition.

The zip line was operated by the Texas Entertainment Group. A message left at the number listed on the operator's website was not immediately answered. Police say the operator is cooperating in the investigation.

The girl and her family were in the area visiting relatives.
