HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's the busiest night of the year for the haunted attraction Scream World.

"We start looking forward to this when the season ends last year," says Christopher White, senior art director. He and his team will transform more than 100 actors in just two hours.

"We're going to go super-heavy on the detail with the characters we're going to create," he adds.

"A person who works inside the house takes a minute, minute and a half. People outside take longer because you want them to look good," says makeup artist Rikk Garcia.

Garcia takes up to 45 minutes to create actor and Director of Operations Anthony Huynh's look.

Huynh is a slider. He dresses in black and white and slides across the ground creating sparks. "That's how I scare people," he says.

During a sneak peek tour of the six attractions at Scream World, it doesn't take much to get a fearful reaction. "It's Scream World, it's not scream house, so when you walk through the front gate, you're ours," says White.

"It's a thrill to scare people. It's an adrenaline rush," adds Huynh.

The tour takes 30 minutes, but for those who can't handle the horror, "We have exits everywhere, they're brightly marked," says White. "We're in the business of fear and business is good."

Scream World is open to tonight and tomorrow night and then closes for the season. Tickets are $29, but customers can buy a fast pass for $37.
