Meet Barbara Van Postman
Barbara Van Postman is one dynamic Red Head who doesn't accept the word can't when asked to help raise money for children, animals or education. This lady is a "can do" wonder. Barbara is a sixth generation Texan born and raised in Houston. She started fundraising as early as high school, always leading the charge for the magazine & candy drive benefiting her school. After attending Incarnate Word Academy she went on to the University of Houston to study Interior Design. She then opened her first business, "The Arrangement", known for beautiful flower arrangements and home designs. Eventually, she changed careers for the Petroleum Industry and worked as a Landman in the Natural Gas Business for the next 25 years. Barbara currently serves on several Boards such as BARC Foundation (where she was appointed by the Mayor of Houston) and The University of St Thomas Performing Arts Society, which provides student scholarships. This year she is co-chairing, for the third time, the annual Medical Bridges Foundation Gala which raises fuding for much needed Medical equipment & supplies for use in third world countries. Barbara also lends her talents to the Pan American Round Table Organization, which raises scholarship money to help college bound minority girls. Barbara remains passionate for these causes and continues to enhance the Houston Community with her service & volunteerism.
