PHOTOS: Katherine Whaley's Dutch oven dessert entry

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- ABC-13's Katherine Whaley teamed up with the crew from Pitmaker to enter this year's Dutch Oven Dessert competition at the World's Championship Bar-B-Que cookoff.

Whaley decided to try something non-traditional this year. She started by baking off a sugar cookie base inside the dutch oven placed in one of the pits. She then topped it off with a cream cheese filling and dutch oven baked apples before drizzling them with caramel and a little toffee crunch on top.
