Houston is getting a second Shake Shack

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Attention burger-lovers!

It's official, Houston is getting a second Shake Shack.

Joining the first location in the Galleria Mall, the second location will take over the space occupied by La Madeline in Rice Village.

In a release, Rice Village General Manager Donna Molho said, "For Rice Village, the addition of Shake Shack is a real game changer."

Shake Shack is known for a modern day 'roadside' burger stand serving burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine and more.

The official opening date for the Rice Village location isn't expected to be announced before 2017.
