HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Customers and workers at a northwest Houston taqueria escaped injury overnight after a fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to the restaurant late Sunday night on Highway 249 at Bammel North Houston.
When crews arrived, they found a fire that erupted in a deep fryer.
Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof of the building before they were able to put out the fire.
There is no word on when the restaurant will reopen.
