Houston among best places in U.S. to climb out of debt, study says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Four big cities in Texas, including Houston are among the best places in the U.S. for people trying to wipe out debt, according to a new study. But before you get too excited, that's not an excuse to go on a holiday spending spree.

The study, released by Texas-based financial education website Student Loan Hero, ranks Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas as four of the top 20 cities in the country where residents have the most extra money for reducing debt.
