Find fall's biggest trends for $2 at thrift shop
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The official start of the fall season is just a week away, and it's time for new fall threads.
But just because there's a new season, doesn't mean your clothes have to be brand new. You can find the same runway looks at a thrift shop without designer prices.
Two Houston bloggers that are always on the hunt for cheap resale finds took us shopping to find the latest looks for less.
Pippa McLenna and Jen Meneely are the ladies behind TooCheapBlondes.com. They say one of their favorite stores in Houston is the Family Thrift Outlet off the Gulf Freeway.
On Thursdays, all items at the store are priced at $2. The prices drop a quarter each day until all items are only $0.25 on Wednesdays.
When they go to the store, they are also armed with either a magazine or mobile devices with inspirations from the hottest trends. Then they are able to dig through the racks and find nearly identical pieces.
