Bald is beautiful: Young girl inspires mom battling breast cancer
COLLEGE GROVE, Tennessee -- A Tennessee mother and daughter who are both bald for different reasons are sending a message in a powerful photo shoot: Bald is beautiful.
Kristi Tavenner has been battling breast cancer and her 7-year-old daughter, Rose, has Alopecia.
Kellie Rose Photography, who took professional pictures of the pair, posted on Facebook, explaining their journey and how Rose helped Kristi come to terms with her hair loss.
"Rose began going out fully bald when all her hair fell out a few years ago, and it was beautiful to hear from Kristi about how Rose helped her to be brave when she began to lose her hair during chemotherapy treatments," Kelli Rose wrote.
The photos, taken at a farm in College Grove, south of Nashville, went viral after they were shared to feel-good Facebook page Love What Matters, where they've received more than 13,000 reactions and have been shared nearly 700 times.
