Comicpalooza 2015 begins today at GRB

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Comicpalooza 2015 kicks off this morning at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.

Tens of thousands of comic book fans expected to take part in the four day event. Comicpalooza bills itself as the "largest four pop-culture event in Texas."

Perhaps the biggest celebrity scheduled is Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner. Reener stars in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." Stan Lee, George Takei, and Henry Winkler also are slated for appearances.

On Memorial Day, veterans and current military members get in for free with proper id.
