HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Bill Cosby performance scheduled for Jones Hall here in Houston next month has been canceled.

The show was supposed to take place on January 24, but according to a statement from the Houston Symphony we just received, the show has been canceled by "mutual agreement with the intent to reschedule in a future season."

No new date has been announced.

If you've purchased tickets, you'll be notified by the Houston Symphony services center with details.

Cosby has been under fire following the string of allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted women over many years.
