Tonight's Aretha Franklin concert canceled in Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Fans hoping to see Aretha Franklin in concert tonight will have to wait a little longer.

The Grammy winning singer's show scheduled here in Houston tonight has been canceled. She was set to perform at Arena Theater, located in the 7300 block of the Southwest Freeway. The theater did not say why the concert was canceled.

Ticket holders are being asked to hold on to their original tickets which will be good for a rescheduled date in April of 2015. Fans may also request a full refund.
