Alley Theatre $46.5M renovations about to get underway

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Big changes are about to get underway at Houston's Alley Theatre.

A $46.5 million renovation gets underway Monday.

It's the theater's first major overhaul since opening in 1968.

Enough money has been raised to cover the cost of the project.

During construction, the company will present its season at the University of Houston's Wortham Theatre.

Renovations should be complete in the fall of 2015.
