Driver plows through S. California gym and narrowly misses man

PLAYA DEL REY, California (KTRK) -- A California gym suffered extensive damage after a pickup truck slammed into it over the weekend.

A security video captured a patron inside working out when the vehicle suddenly slammed into the Real Fitness Gym in Playa Del Rey, California.

The person inside the gym was not injured as the vehicle was just feet away from him.

Police believe the driver, a 35-year-old man, had a medical episode when he crashed.

His condition was not immediately made public, and it is not known if he will face charges.
