Body discovered in water tank in northeast Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police are investigating the death of a person found floating in a water tank.

The discovery was made shortly after noon Tuesday in the 5500 block of Armour in northeast Houston.

It's not clear what kind of water treatment facility this may be, or if it's currently in use.

No information on the person's gender or possible cause of death is available at this time.

Houston police are on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
