Corvette heavily damaged by home garage fire in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A homeowner was able to escape but his sports car was destroyed after a fire broke out in his garage overnight.

The fire started around 9:45 Friday night at the home on Jean Street near Munger.

Firefighters arrived to find large flames and smoke pouring out of the garage.

A Corvette was heavily damaged by the flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No one was injured.
