CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- A recent pot bust has authorities issuing a warning for parents, as Halloween approaches.
The Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted a narcotics investigation targeting the illegal shipment of hydroponic marijuana from California to Montgomery County, Texas. During the investigation, task force agents learned that marijuana made into candy was being shipped across state lines into Montgomery County.
Monday afternoon, agents executed a search warrant at a home in the 10300 block of Airport Road in Conroe. During a search, agents reported found what they call a "substantial amount" of marijuana and tetrahydrocannabinol.
Terry Keith Wendt, 55, was charged with manufacturing delivery of a controlled substance F-1, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and felony possession of marijuana. Wendt has a $50,000 bond and remains in the Montgomery County Jail.
