HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Get your resume ready. Target is hiring for its newest Houston-area store, which is the first fully reimagined store to open in the country.
The new Target layout was unveiled in March by CEO Brian Cornell and is expected to meet guests' needs by offering two entrances, one of which is for shoppers looking to pick their online orders, elevated merchandise presentations featuring Target's exclusive style assortment, convenient parking locations outside the door for guests to receive their Order Pickup items. This store is the vision for the more than 500 additional reimagined stores planned for 2018 and 2019.
The remodeling is a key part of Target Corp.'s strategy to win back shoppers and rev up sales.
Target is hosting a job fair in Sugar Land Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is looking to hire about 160 new team members for the Richmond Grand Parkway Southwest location.
The new store is located along Harlem Road between Grand Parkway and West Bellfort and is set to open Oct. 18.
