Less than a day after revealing a suggestive logo for his campaign, Donald Trump released a new one Saturday when he formally announced Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.
The new simpler design is just a blue "Trump" over a red "Pence" behind a white background. Their names are on top of his campaign phrase "Make America Great Again!"
Trump released a logo Friday afternoon but it received some funny reactions on social media, with many saying the logo was sexually suggestive.
In the original concept, a large blue "T" intersects inside a blue "P" alongside bars that make the entire logo resemble the American flag. But Twitter users suggested blurring the image to make it "appropriate" for audiences, while others said Trump and Pence must have a "very close relationship."
Trump's is not the first logo to become an online punchline. Jeb Bush's "Jeb!" logo was widely ridiculed.
While presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's logo has been praised by many designers, it prompted intra-party grousing last year. It features an "H'' with an arrow pointing right, leading some Democrats to complain that the arrow did not point left.
