SkyEye captured a Houston Fire Department response in progress at a Motel 6. Fire engines were seen with ladders extended toward the middle of the building.

HFD confirmed receiving a call about the fire at 2900 W. Sam Houston Parkway, where the response was peaked to three alarms.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
An ABC13 crew on the ground captured the flames dying down just before 5:30 p.m.
HFD Chief Samuel Pena told ABC13 the department had nearly 90 firefighters at the scene and two METRO buses were deployed to help cool the crew.
Pena added that an investigation is underway into reports of water to the sprinkler system being turned off. The cause and origin of the fire are being investigated.
