Vanessa Guillen: Remember Her Name
April 22 marked one year since Houston native and Army Specialist Vanessa Guillen disappeared from Fort Hood. Her remains would be found 69 days later dismembered and burned.
Guillen, 20, was bludgeoned to death by Spc. Aaron Robinson, who killed himself on July 1 as police were trying to take him into custody.
Since her death, her story has inspired movements for change in the military and protections for service members from sexual assault and harassment.
As her family faced that heartbreaking anniversary this year, they opened up to ABC13's Steve Campion about her life.
Their interview is shared in the ABC13 Original "Vanessa Guillen: Remember Her Name." In the piece, which is just over an hour long, Steve also spoke to the leaders and search crews, who worked with her family to find Guillen, and later, to keep her memory live.
"Vanessa Guillen: Remember Her Name" is streaming now in the Binge This! collection.

Too soon to prepare for extreme weather? Not if you live on the Gulf Coast
Many in southeast Texas have experienced hurricanes, flooding, and now, a once-in-a-lifetime winter storm.
But that doesn't mean you should get comfortable because of the familiarity with certain extreme events.
In a town hall that streamed live on ABC13, ABC13's Travis Herzog and David Tillman invited three experts to explore the impacts of extreme weather on the Texas Gulf Coast.
The conversation couldn't happen a moment too soon because the time to prepare for extreme weather is right now, said NWS Houston warning coordination meteorologist Dan Reilly.
And with a prediction for yet another above average hurricane season, their advice couldn't be more relevant.
Swing through our Action 13 Town Halls collection to watch the conversation for advice and perspective on the unpredictable weather from voices you can trust.

If you're a fan of trivia and fast facts, you'll want to spend some time in the Get to Know Us section.
Here, you'll find out why Mayra Moreno has a personal connection to The Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger, Erik Barajas' bromance, Melanie Lawson's hidden talent that will make you LOL, and why Elita Loresca was the first person we had to bleep! Don't worry though. Unlike "A Christmas Story" character Ralphie, who had to wash his mouth out with soap for dropping quite the bomb, Elita did not have to get friendly with Dial soap for this segment.
Topping the collection is a Q & A with ABC13's new Race and Culture reporter Cory McGinnis. It's all streaming now.
