Meet the squad paid to jam people into Japanese subway cars

TOKYO, Japan (KTRK) -- In some cities, taking a light rail train can feel like you're jammed in a sardine can.

But in Tokyo, there is a squad who actually gets paid to squeeze you into the subway cars.

A viral video shows these men at work, running from car to car as they shove stone-faced passengers inside.

The passengers don't budge as these men physically position them into whatever crack or crevice they can find.

The doors barely close as the riders are squished inside. In fact, sometimes the officers must pull the doors shut.

An Italian photographer is credited with capturing the chaotic scene at rush hour.

Our only question: How do departing riders make their way off the rail car when they hit their stop?
