Law enforcement arrests driver involved in hit-and-run crash after 3-hour search in Waller County

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities say a search for a hit-and-run driver is over following their arrest in Waller County Monday evening.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash happened along FM 1736 at Laneview Road.



A DPS helicopter was reportedly searching for the suspect at about 3:30 p.m.

In an update at 6:43 p.m., officials announced the suspect's arrest.

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the crash or how the events unfolded.

Officials did not identify the hit-and-run driver or victim.
