Investigators told Eyewitness News they believe the grandmother, identified by family members as 65-year-old Judy Walters, was targeted. Police said they are determining who the suspects are, saying they might have been involved in some sort of disagreement with Walters.

"Judging by the video surveillance that we viewed, and the fact that there are some family dynamics that we are certainly looking into, I don't believe this is random," Det. Dustin Crowder, with the Houston Police Department, told ABC13.
On Tuesday, police responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 800 block of Yorkchester Drive at about 8:30 a.m.
When authorities arrived, they found Walters dead in the parking lot after she was shot, pushed out of her SUV, and run over by the carjackers, according to police.
Walters' Mitsubishi Eclipse was picked up by a license plate reader near Bissonnet and Kirkwood Tuesday night. Then, a veteran police sergeant suggested detectives search the abandoned Sugar Hill Golf Course.
"The patrol sergeant had a hunch this might be a good place to hide a police vehicle. He checked it out, and it turned out his hunch was correct," Crowder said. "We think there were two or three individuals involved. You can see them on the surveillance video. People here may not be the same individual. We do know they tried to burn some evidence and they were unsuccessful."
On Wednesday, her car was found abandoned in the defunct golf course's empty garage at 11996 Bissonnet St., which is about 10 miles away from where Walters died, according to police.
ABC13 obtained surveillance video showing two suspects at about 12 a.m. on Tuesday. Investigators say the men waited for Walters for about eight hours before she was killed.

Investigators have a limited description of the suspects at the moment, only saying that they had a medium complexion. The surveillance video shows that one of the suspects has curly hair. Two masked men can also be seen wearing hoodies in the video.
