"It's very traumatic for all of us. Thankfully, she's going to be OK," said the victim's stepdaughter Melissa Singleton.

Thanks to a neighbor's surveillance cameras, what happened to Patricia is clear for everyone to see.
"It's going to be a road to recovery," said Melissa. "She's in pain."
Patricia didn't want to be interviewed on camera, but Melissa spoke with Eyewitness News. Now, Melissa is on a mission to find the driver of the maroon-colored truck seen hitting her stepmom.
"Luckily, she didn't go underneath the vehicle like she really thought," Melissa said.
Patrica was at the corner of Nutwood Lane and Acron Valley around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, April 29. She first saw a SUV drive by, so she waited for her turn to go. But that's when the maroon truck, according to the family, ran the stop sign and ran straight into Patricia.

Witnesses said the driver seemed to have accelerated.
As soon as the incident happened, neighbors ran to Patricia's aid. She sustained some bruises and swelling, and is due for an MRI Tuesday.
"She's just very thankful. She feels like God was watching over her at that moment. She's extremely thankful," said Melissa.
If you happen to recognize the vehicle or know who is responsible, call the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
