Back on May 24, 2021, around 6:30 p.m., Baytown Police responded to what they said was a shootout between people in two cars at the Brixton Apartments on Garth Road near Park Street.

According to investigators, one of the bullets went through 22-year-old Domonique Million's apartment and hit her in the head. They said she was not the intended target.

Million died after being transported to the hospital, but her unborn baby survived and was successfully delivered at seven months.

On Thursday, police announced that 23-year-old Aaron Heads Jr. and 25-year-old Deavonte Williams, both from Baytown, were arrested and charged with murder. Warrants have also been issued for 25-year-old Larry Harris and 22-year-old Zaviay Turner, who are already incarcerated at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Authorities added all suspects are documented gang members.

"This arrest is the culmination of a rigorous three-year investigation," the police department shared on their release. "This significant achievement highlights the countless hours spent revisiting the case and re-interviewing individuals, which ultimately brought forth additional crucial information."

Million's sister told ABC13 on the phone that her family is still grieving from the tragedy and hopes justice will ultimately be served. She declined to share how the surviving baby is doing.
