In April of last year, the U.S. Attorney's Office said surveillance video shows 29-year-old Jennifer Jesselle Perez-Rodriguez drawing a machete, and waving it toward an FBI agent's vehicle before running toward it.
Law enforcement ordered her to drop the machete but she did not comply, the attorney's office said.
That's when the agent reportedly shot her, and she was taken to a hospital.
Federal officials said Perez-Rodriguez pleaded guilty on June 11.
Last week, a federal judge sentenced her to 14 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
