HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A domestic dispute in west Harris County will go to a grand jury after a woman claims she shot and killed her husband in self-defense, according to investigators.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said the incident unfolded at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday at a home along Diantha Street.

HCSO said the woman called 911, saying she shot her husband during an argument that had turned physical. The man, identified as Qualin Dorsey, reportedly died at the scene from at least one gunshot wound.

Deputies said the couple's son was at the home at the time and was going to be interviewed by investigators to try to piece together what happened.

The sheriff's office said the woman was not arrested Tuesday night, and instead, a grand jury will determine if charges should be filed in this case.
