18-year-old arrested, charged with killing man during robbery attempt at Humble-area apartment: HCSO

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with the deadly shooting at an apartment complex in the Humble area on Sunday evening.

Court documents say Terron Jarod Chatman is accused of shooting and killing a man while attempting to rob him in the parking lot of the Sierra at Fall Creek apartments on Bellows Falls Lane near the North Beltway.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the victim was found shot in the front seat of a black SUV. He reportedly died at the scene.

The sheriff's office said deputies detained several people for questioning and interviewed multiple witnesses, including two people who they say were inside the car when the shooting happened.



Officials have not revealed if any other arrests were made.
