Man dead after rollover crash leaves vehicle upside down in retention pond, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man is dead after a rollover crash left a vehicle in a retention pond, according to Harris County officials.

The crash happened on Sunday afternoon near the Grand Parkway and Northcrest Drive, authorities said.

Precinct 4 officials first reported the driver was able to get out of the vehicle safely, but the Harris County Sheriff's Office later reported a man died as a result of the crash.

Photos shared by officials at the scene showed a vehicle with its wheels up in the retention pond off the Grand Parkway. Officials have not said if anyone was injured.
