No injuries reported after southwest Houston house fire on Fairdale Lane, HFD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- No injuries were reported after a house caught fire in a west Houston neighborhood on Wednesday evening, the Houston Fire Department said.

Skyeye was overhead around 6:30 p.m. as smoke and flames engulfed a home at 6010 Fairdale Lane, near Richmond Avenue and Fountain View Drive.

Firefighters could be seen surrounding the home, working to put out the fire.

Fifteen mph gusts of wind blew thick smoke north onto neighboring townhomes just behind the burning home.

In an update just before 7 p.m., HFD Captain Sedrick Robinett announced that the fire was contained, and firefighters were working to extinguish it.
