Man shot multiple times, killed in north Harris County apartment complex, sheriff's office says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was shot and killed in a north Harris County apartment complex overnight in a suspected robbery, the sheriff's office said.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, detectives responded to a shooting death investigation at about 12 a.m. on Friday at the Mira Bella Apartments located at 22910 Imperial Valley Drive.

Deputies said they responded when a tenant called 911, stating that a man had been shot multiple times in the parking lot of the complex. Deputies arrived on the scene and discovered the man lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Officials said that EMS also responded to the scene and, after checking the victim's vitals, pronounced him dead. Authorities said the medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of death.

Investigators said they processed the scene while detectives interviewed multiple witnesses and reviewed security footage of the incident. Officials said the investigators indicate that the victim was shot multiple times by two suspects, adding that the motive may have been robbery.
