Houston police said the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. and closed all inbound lanes until 6:45 a.m.
According to HPD, a man was driving home from a Whiskey River nightclub with his girlfriend in the passenger seat and his girlfriend's brother in the back seat.
Authorities said the siblings started to fight for an unknown reason, and the brother punched and fought his sister from behind.
Investigators said the brother got so upset that he tried to jump out of the vehicle's window. Police said the man's sister and his sister's boyfriend tried to stop him, but he eventually opened the pickup's door and stepped out onto the freeway while the vehicle was going around 60mph.
Witnesses behind the pickup swerved to avoid the man, but a White Chevy Camaro ran over him and kept driving, police said.
HPD said they still haven't found the Chevy Camaro.
